Here is a video from this past weekend at Daytona International Speedway. I went with 2 other MINIs to join the Audi Club of Ohio on the track at Daytona!!! It was AMAZING!

Great Video . . . question? There was a rumor at the PRI show over in Orlando that two Grand American VW GTI's were at this event testing for the January Koni race.
Did you see them? Did you possibly hear any lap times for them? Evidently, they will run 3 cars in '08 with some factory money and high priced driver talent (Randy Pobst among others . . .).
It takes a 2:10 to run up front. I would like to get some times if you have them.

Thanks - yes they were there and were running around the 2:11's from what I understand. Not only was Randy Pobst there, but he actually jumped in my MINI and took me around for 3 laps during the pro-drivers practice session!!! It was the thrill of a lifetime. I am actually posting that video up now. Will let you know when it is up.
My fastest lap times in my street MINI were 2:26 and top speed was 137mph across the start/finish line. Randy managed a 2:22 in my car (with the added weight of me which did not help) and he squeezed out 139mph across the stripes. Unbelievable for just hopping into someone else's car and still getting those lap times in a street car!
Looking forward to seeing you guys on the track again Randy!
