You're kidding! Only six this month? Makes it easier. ;^)
I had something in mind for a pic, if it rained. No rainy here so no picy. We are in a drought situation that they haven't noticed in my area as of yet.:impatient
As much as I hate rules and I'm lamenting the lack of entries this month (no rain is an excuse?), MOE4me is right. This is a clear violation of rule #5:

If you don't know what EXIF is, just make sure the date setting on your camera is correct. Do not use "save for web" in photoshop as that will remove the EXIF data.

Crrrraaaaaapppppp! I'm sorry guys, I went back there and took a picture at the same angle and background this month. I grabbed the wrong file when I went to do my level corrections. Dave, please remove my entry. Super-dooper sorry, I'll serve my suspension (if you want to enforce one.)

That was you Jeremy!?! I'm just surprised as this is all old hat for you. Don't you keep your photos from different dates in different folders? Aw well, not like I've never made a mistake before. Let him slide this month everyone?
Leslie, stop distracting Dave so much that he's missing the EXIF info check. However, keep distracting him well enough so that he doesn't have time to enter anymore though!

Yep, it was me. Nope, all my photos go into the same folder. I should really start to use iPhoto to import my photos.
First of all, thank you Jeremy for coming clean and admitting your mistake. One of the main reasons the monthly photo contest was created is to allow members to show off their creativity and skill behind the lens. This contest is purely for fun and to some extent, "bragging rights." However as stated by speednut, there are rules that are enforced and these rules exist in order to promote fairness among those who enter the contests.
Given that Jeremy has acknowledged and apologized for his error I feel that a "suspension" of any sort is unnecessary. He is a regular contributor to this forum so I would hate to see this incident tarnish his reputation.
Additionally, Jeremy isn't entirely at fault because we (and by "we" I mean "Dave" ) should have noticed the EXIF data before the thread was created. Unfortunately I am unable to edit dave's thread (and he's unavailable at the moment) so the picture will remain in the poll for the time being. It should however be removed later tonight and the poll will be fixed in order to accommodate the correct number of entries for this month's contest.

I'm not to blame for this one, Dave's currently suffering from a cold so he's been on cold meds.
So does this mean the voting can start over? (recount! )
No rain is a sad excuse to not take photos. I wanted to do a landscape with a running creek, but they are all dry now. But I tried something different, that I never tried before.... and the votes show it.

RE: photo 3 and exif data
photo 3 has been removed and the poll options edited. Clearly I missed the exif check this month. I'd like to apologize to the participants for that.
Thanks to Leslie for "playing Dave" while I was away at dinner.
RE: being too distacted to enter myself
I might just have to enter the next contest.

Jeremy, a suggestion for you as this works very well for me. Use a folder called "Photos". Create a child folder inside for years (e.g. "2007"). Then as you dump your memory card to your computer, create a new folder in the correct year with the naming convention year-month-day_Brief_Description (e.g. "/Photos/2007/2007-09-15_NAM_Sept_photo_contest"). Then use iPhoto to tag with quality metadata. If I didn't use this method, I'd never find anything.

Uh Leslie, a little help here! Maybe housebreaking a cute black pug pup would help keep him busy?
Hope you get feeling better soon Dave!
