Alicia Howell, a good friend of mine, is raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by running a marathon this summer, partly to celebrate her 10 years of remission from AML, part in honor of me and my cancer struggle. As part of her fund raising efforts, she is partnering up with a friend (who happens to be raising money for breast cancer research), and doing a car wash in Madison on May 9th. I plan on going and am wondering if anyone would like to come along. It would be kind of neat to have a bunch of MINIS show up. Either respond here or shoot me a PM to let me know if you are interested and if you'd like to meet and caravan.
Since there hasn't been any additional interest as of yet, let say that we will meet at that Park N' Ride at 9:00AM and leave by 9:15AM or so. That should get us into Madison by 10:30 or so. Car washed and then maybe a chance for grabbing a quick bite to eat. Sound good?
Just an FYI, but MiniShagz will be unable to lead the caravan to the car wash this weekend. If you are interested in going, you will want to go directly to the event in Madison rather than meet in Milwaukee at the Park 'n Ride for a caravan.
