Owning a Mini in Madison

I'm thinking about buying a Mini but am concerned with service in Madison.
There are no dealers in Madison, but are there garages that handle basic Mini maintenance/repair near Madison? The garages and detailers thread mentions Dunn's imports, are there other options?

There's a yahoo group for the Madison Mini club you can try too. I know they would have some good suggestions for getting local service.

Hi, I'm going to receive my new Cabrio in a couple days (yay!). I realize I might cause a slight heart attack in some readers, but does anyone know of a trustworthy hand washing place here in Madison that I could take it to? I live in a condo that doesn't give me hoses or a place to wash it myself.

When I lived in Madison I just drove down to International Autos for Service. It's not too far of a drive - but you do need to plan ahead a bit.

As far as hand washing - i'm not sure if there's anyone that offers a service - I did find out via another MINI owner that Octopus carwashes aren't so hot - I guess the rear arms hit the conveyor pipe thingy. Either way it's bad.

I always hand washed it myself at the various Wizard washes (one on Stoughton Road and one in Middleton) after hours when i had time to wash it myself with my own soap and sponges etc. Very clean etc.
