I ordered my Clubman from Knauz in IL. Have any of you bought yours there? Or any new cars from a dealer in IL? I'm wondering if the registration and licensing is seamless, or is it a bit more hassle?
I bought my 05 MCSa at Knauz after having had a lot of work done on my, and my son's old BMW over the years. There was absolutely no extra hassle with licensing. The plate was on the back of the car when I went to pick it up and they asked if I wanted to have the front plate mounted. I told them that I'd take care of that (I suppose I should get around to that some day ).
Excellent news! Thanks for the reply. I have been very happy in my dealings with Knauz so far as well.
Do you have your car serviced there, or do you take it to International? I'm only 10 minutes from International so I'd prefer to go there, but wonder if they make it difficult on people who bought their cars elsewhere. I'm assuming loaners are out of the question, for instance.
I've had very few dealings with International other than picking up some BMW parts a long time ago. Since I live just about half way between International and Knauz, and have had good experiences with their sales, service and parts department, that is where I've gone. I have gotten loaner's from Knauz but haven't had any maintenance experience with International to base any comments on. Some of the other Milwaukee Club members can comment more since it seems that the majority of them got their cars from International and have their service done there.

Thanks again,

I suggest just calling them to find out. I'm guessing they won't treat you any different than people that buy their cars there (like me). They want your service business.
That being said, don't expect great treatment in any case. I'm not a huge International fan. If I lived on the south side, I would probably give Knauz a try.
