At breakfast, Terry mentioned a Madison MINI owner who recently joined one of the Madison roller derby teams and was looking for fellow MINI owners to come out and cheer her on. Quote: "I would love it if we could get a parking lot full of MINIs at one of our bouts this year." The season doesn't start until January, but if people are interested, we could organize either a trip to Madison or find out if her team plays in Milwaukee at any point in the season.
Anyway, she's posting in the Owner's Network (remember that? ) but I figured I'd spread the word for her (I already posted a note to the Madison MINIs group). Thoughts?

I just got drafted onto the Mad Rollin' Dolls roller derby league in
Madison. If you have never seen flat-track roller derby before you
are missing out! It's an all-female contact sport done on quad
roller skates. Madison was one of the founding leagues in the
Women's Flat Track Derby Association, our national organization. I
am on the Vaudeville Vixen's team.
Part of derby is to develop your derby persona. Because my MINI is a
big part of who I am I chose Meanie Cooper as my derby name. I would
love to have a big parking lot full of MINIs at one of our up-coming
bouts this winter and a Cooper Pit Crew cheering section.

January 26
February 23
March 22
April 12 - semi-finals
May 10 - finals
Tickets are 10 dollars in advance and 12 at the door. Check our

This Saturday is the second bout of the season! The last bout sold out and was definitely a crowd pleaser. My team the Vaudeville Vixens upset the championship Resevoir Dolls in an action packed flurry of fishnets and roller skates.
