Just got off the phone with a rep from Paramount and they are planning a pre-screen of the Italian Job at the Merriam 20 Theater on May 27th at 7:30 pm. If you would like to attend, please send me an email at lead.mini@kcminiacs.org with your address and how many tickets you'll need. The Paramount rep said this pre-screen is only open to MINI owners and their families and you'll receive either a movie poster or antenna topper for attending.
The people from Baron MINI will also be bringing one of the new models out for the promo.....I'm guessing it will be the new gold one.
Almost forgot.....
The lady from Paramount also said there is going to be a MINI and a stunt driver from the movie doing a driving demo at Metro North Mall on the 19th of May. I don't have a time yet, but I'll post when I have more info.

Our private screening for The Italian Job will bet at 7:30 pm May 27th at the Cinemark Merriam 20 (5500 Antioch, Merriam, KS 66202 MAP). I know there has been a bit of confusion about the date of the movie, and I have confirmed with Emily that it is on the 27th and not the 28th as originally posted. So far we have upwards of 40 people planning to attend just from our group! If you haven't emailed me (webmonkey@kcminiacs.org) about your ticket request yet I ask that you do so as quickly as possible - I do not know of an official cut off date for the requests yet, and I would hate for anyone to be left out.

MINI COOPER STUNT TOUR HITS KANSAS CITY!
Kansas City is Chosen as One of 10 Cities Nationwide To Host MINI COOPER Stunt Car Events.
WHAT: The MINI COOPER – featured in the upcoming Paramount Pictures’ release THE ITALIAN JOB – will make a special appearance with a stunt car show in Kansas City.
WHO: Nationally known stunt woman, Tabby Graham will conduct a 10 minute MINI COOPER Stunt Show. Stunt show to include: 360’s, 2-wheel stunts, spin outs, etc.
WHERE: Metro North Shopping Center Parking Lot - I-29 & Barry Road. Actual event to take place in the parking lot outside the Montgomery Wards entrance.
WHEN: Monday, May 19, 2003. Set up and practice runs to begin at 7:30 am. Actual show to begin at 11:30 am and end at 12:30pm.
