This is Joe from wetdub.com, and we are pleased to announce a new addition to our website and our euro family, a MINI forum! We would love for as many of you to register as possible and show your support for the new mini club based here in wichita. I hope to be working with as many as possible to get your name decided and the forum working with us as soon as possible. Please feel free to PM me on here or on wetdub with any questions or concerns. We would really like to add you to our family over there, and seeing as how you need a vehicle to get started, we would love to be said vehicle!
OK - i think it is truely time to get this Club going - do you have any suggestions on a get together. I think the best thing is to set a time and place to get together and go for it. How about the Rowdy Beaver @ Kellogg & West at 6:00 on Friday 24th. Lets see if we can get some interest going in this WAMO thing before winter sets in.
Cheers
Derek

I think the interest is here but we also need people that are knowable in how to set up websites or anything else involved in getting a MINI/mini club off the ground. So far in contacting NAM I have found out that if you already have a club they are willing work with you. Maybe we could start something outside of NAM.
If anyone else has any ideas please let us know here or better yet show up at where we are going to meet.
As far as Sue and I are concerned we'll be there.
Galen

Does this mean that you are coming this Friday?

Howdy folks,
MinMax here, long time no post, or even vist for that matter. I spoke with some more Mini nutz, and I think we'll have a pretty good turnout.
Man we had a great turnout! Much more then I had anticipated. It was great meeting all of you and we truly enjoyed it. We're looking forward this club taking off. As I'm sure it will.

Yeah - tonight was fun, some familiar faces and some new ones - lets see if we can get together again soon, hopefully somewhere a bit quieter. Any suggestions???
Cheers
Derek

Rowdy should have been the first clue. We've been duped!
If you guys like BBQ, Julius Ribcage on S. Seneca between 31st and pawnee is, in our opinion, the best BBQ in Wichita. And the owner is a really nice guy. It would be plenty quiet.

We're alreadys up for BBQ also. And it's a good place. Sadly it doesn't get a lot of traffic because it isn't pretty. But he's in the process of remodeling the whole place and it's looking nicer every time we go back.
The winter is on it's way and it's easy to lose some motoring spirit in nasty weather. But this is precisely the time we need to get this club going so we'll be fully operational for the spring time. Already organised so we don't have any hicups.
I hadn't used Photoshop is a long time, so I made this as a sort of warm up. I'm going to try and make several different types of pictures and anyone else can also chime in with their ideas. What we'll do is pool them together and have everyone vote on what they like. Then we can make some small logo that we'll put on a business card to distribute to other Mini people that haven't joined. With our website and email for contact.
I'm also going to try my hand at making a Flash based website. I haven't done that before so it will take some time to learn. But it would be neat to have.

To Galen's point - are there any of you out there willing and able to help establish the club. Being able to generate web pages, research dull (but important) things like insurance - don't worry I did not say buy, and organize events. We can talk more about it Friday if you can make it, or post ideas on here.
Cheers

At least one of us will try to make it. I have a commitment in Hutch that night until 7:00.

I will try to make it. Depends on if I can stay on the wife's good side this week.

Derek,
Didn't know the meeting was on until I met Lessk at the Open House - please include me in any future e-mails (or just tell me at work <g>).
Have a great vacation!
