AMVIV6 - March 26-29 * Vegas Baby, Vegas!

Hi gang!
It's almost time for my favorite event of the whole year- AMVIV!!! As of 12/23/08, registrations are open. Every year Agro & the Sin City Minis host AMVIV at Palace Station and put together a great time: vendors, drive(s), dinner, show-&-shine, etc. You'll have an absolute blast if you go!

Summary provided by Agro (Sin City Minis - event host):
If you go to AMVIV Registration and fill in the demographic page, when you click the “submit” button, you will be taken to the page where you can add the items you want to buy. Please add everything you want to your shopping cart then pay. You will receive a confirmation email from Paypal if you use Paypal, and another confirmation email from Pedro once we get your payment. If you don’t get the confirmation from Pedro, we didn’t get your payment and you aren’t registered. It might take a day or 2 for Pedro to get the confirmations out. If you have any problems with the registration or payment process, please email me at Agro42@gmail.com.

If you don’t want to pay online, please fill in the demographic page and add everything you want to buy to a shopping cart, then PRINT THE CART and the DEMOGRAPHIC PAGE and mail them with your check to:

Sin City MINI Club

AMVIV VI Registration

287 Hampton Ridge Ct

Henderson, NV 89002

Please make sure you include your email address so that Pedro can email you your confirmation, or to clarify any issues with your registration.

Vendor registrations are also open. If you plan on being a vendor at AMVIV6, please go to AMVIV6 -Vendor page and do basically the same procedure as above. Please make sure to contact Larry on Lsimpson@litelv.com to verify everything before signing up as a vendor.

It says it on the registration pages, but just to clarify, please note the following:

You cannot pre-purchase any AMVIV items unless you purchase either a car or vendor registration. Any purchases that do not include a registration will be cancelled and refunded.

Tickets to the Saturday evening banquet will ONLY BE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE WEBSITE. There will be no dinner tickets available in Las Vegas.

The shirt and hat combo deal (shirt and hat for $25) is only available as a pre-purchase through the website. Shirts and hats will be $15 each in Las Vegas.

If you want to guarantee getting your shirt size, pre-purchase is the way to go. We order extra shirts in assorted sizes, but if you wear a popular size and it is sold out when you arrive, you will miss out.

I’m sure I forgot a few important items, so keep an eye out for more emails in the next few days and months.

See you in Vegas!

Andrew Ross aka Agro

President, Sin City MINI Club www.SinCityMINIClub.com

Organizer, A MINI Vacation In Vegas www.AMVIV.com

I'm/we're totally psyched to help Dr.Steve man the CMS booth with M7 Tuning (Randy & Peter). Dr.Steve's going to be in full-on "install mode", so I'll be donning my sales hat & moving product.

For all you MidCal'ers, the CMS booth will be ground-zero for the event & you're welcome to chill/hang/lounge/groove/etc. We'll be packing the FPD (aka Frackmobile Part Deux) & the Dr.Steve-ryde with product, but we might need one more car to load up & caravan a day early. Team "Chef & C-Dub" you in on this?

Well Fracky, you beat me to it this year. Just got our reservations and registration done for A6 (short for Amviv6).

Also beat me to starting an A6 thread like last year.

We will be going on Wed and coming back Mon.

Should be a great time, might even put in some time in the CMS booth to spell someone.

Sounds great Dusty! Lemme know if we need to get all the latest marketing material over to you so you can become a MINI performance parts guru between now & March. Oh, 'A6' is a great moniker for the event. Sounds Audi'ish, but still very cool.

Um...AMVIV is already an acronym. It's short for "A MINI Vacation In Vegas".

Sweet. Just finished booking our room (Wednesday evening to Sunday morning). Creative beverages? I plan on making a run over to Quark's bar at the Hilton & getting hammered on a 'Warp Core Breach' - should be good times.

I don't think Quarks is there any more. The Star Trek Experience is gone, and I think Quarks went with it.

You, me & Jill. We were really looking forward to seeing the Star Trek Experience again. I'm going to call my buddy Doug (who we bought the Porsche from) tomorrow. Doug lives in Vegas & is keen on all the hot spots. I'll get a line on the best low-key, awesome drink place to visit on Wednesday night.

K, I'm super-duper pysched for AMVIV & feel like a little kid counting down the days before a trip to Disneyland. Dr.Steve, we're doing pretty good so far on staying on-track with the mods (suspension, brakes, studs, exhaust & diffuser) before we leave. Is anyone interested in going to see a show while we're in Vegas? Jill & I haven't seen one there and were thinking of catching Phantom, Beatles' Love, or something. Thoughts?

Oh, Lyle & Shannon, Darrell & Lyle's dad are going to meet up with us here in Fresno on Wednesday & then we'll caravan to LV, NV.

Only 30 days until AMVIV! For all you guys getting your MINI geared up for the event, make sure you get on Dr.Steve's calender. I know for the FPD, we're staying on-target & by the book to have the car done >1 week before the event.

Nick & I had a change in plans, so we will be attending again this year. Heading down Wednesday and returning on Sunday. So Fracky/Steve add us to the caravan. So looking forward to this weekend.

Is the departure time from C.M.S. still 0900, or do we have to stand around and watch Steve wash his car before we leave?

Yeah, I'll pull out the scraper and scrape a few layers off. Departure time is the same as far as I know.

You really need to update your poll since it only has options for the 26th and 27th. I hope we're ready; it seems like it coming at us like a freight train.
