The Mid-South MINIacs held their Annual Membership Dinner Meeting and Elections Saturday March 14 at Pancho's Mexican Restaurant. Outgoing President Sam Johnson gave his "State of the MINIacs" report and then announced the nominees for the coming 2 year term. The nominees were all elected unanimously and then Alan Prouser, Founder of the Mid-South MINIacs assisted by member Steve Hammond installed the new President and Vice-president by presenting them both with not-so-custom made tiaras! The Mid-South MINIacs may very well be the first car club in America with all ladies as officers! The newly elected President Christy Gibson then gave her acceptance speech and previewed the "2009 Calendar of Adventures" listing the events and activities that are on the calendar for the coming year. The MINIacs also voted unanimously to make the clubs annual donation of $300.00 to The Memphis Child Advocacy Center. During dinner, a slide show prepared by newly elected Vice-president Nicole Chatham of events and activities over the past 4 years was shown. The members of the Mid-South MINIacs look forward to the next 2 years of leadership from the "Team of Ladies" shown in the picture below.
