MAG SUCKS!!!!!

Sorry to all you MAG lovers but F them they charge $500 an hour and do not know torque specs for wheels pure bull ****. I went to put snow tires on today and my wheels are on so tight I can not get the lug nuts to budge. How hard is it to use a torque wrench to put the wheels back on the car? Even the tire scalper down the street uses a torque wrench, probably because he does not have enough money to afford an impact wrench because he only charges $50 an hour. My car will never see the inside of that dealer again and if my body goes in there again I am shitting and not flushing. Anybody know the phone number for the survey I want to make sure I voice my complaints and get that bunch of overcharging *******s in trouble.

But, I wish you'd tell us how you really feel... it's not good for you to hold it all inside...

Perhaps a phone call or a letter might help their torquers understand and ... and... maybe you could get some MINI stuff for your trouble... maybe...?

Not a MAG lover, but we do seem to be friends.

I do understand your frustration. That has happened to me, but not at MAG. Were you able to get those lug bolts out or are they stuck? Come on over & we can break them loose here.

If you had a flat tire to change on the side of the road that would really be a huge issue. A tech got lazy & didn't torque the lugs, or rather over tightened them, crappy yes, but hardly worth condemning a whole company for one persons actions.

Believe it or not we MINI owners have some friends that work at MAG. I suggest you call MAG & explain the problem with them. They will make it right I'm sure.

But to make it right I would have to drive all the way across town. Like it or not every organization is judged by their worst person. I really like the new Sam, but this is infuriating. I was not able to get any of them to move at all and could not find my breaker bar so I might need to take you up on your offer Chuck.

The only good service I received all weekend came from Outmotoring and Wendys (Aaron just doing his normal awesome job and Wendys handing me a free milk shake because they messed up someone else's order)

My other frustration is CVS their web page says flu vaccines are available until supplies run out, but when you go there they tell you to check the web page? Then god help you if you try to call as you get stuck in a loop of press 3 for help, 3 takes you back to the prior menu press 0 go back a menu. No key combination gave me a person. Then I get there and the 2 people who could answer my question are just sitting there BS'ing so no reason one of them could not be answering a phone.

So the two things I wanted to do today (swap tires and get a flu shot) were denied by companies being difficult.

The more I think about it the more it makes me mad. Why do they have the impact wrenches set to such a high number? Is there a BMW or Mini that requires that high a torque? Why not just have the stupid thing set to he correct torque for the vehicles being serviced? Or better yet save some electricity and just use a tire iron spin the dam thing and the finish it of with a torque wrench?

It really is a safety issue if I get a flat tire (very possible doe to my tires being worn) and am stuck on the side of the road unable to get the wheel off that is not safe.

Well Allen, I, being a younger tech, know how stupid some of them can be. It is ridiculous but there are the stupid ones out there. I'm sorry about your trouble. Like Check said, he can help ya out.

I do know that at dealerships they have to buy a set of torque sticks which are just like a torque wrench only it's for the impact guns. The steel that is used to make these things actually will not turn passed a certain torque setting. The most common one and the cheapest on to but is the 100 ft lbs. They also have 65, all the way to 140 ft lbs, i believe. They aren't cheap to buy but I know at the dealerships they most likely have to buy them. I got mine stolen and my set had cost me over $300.

I hope you have a better week, than you did a sunday.

Take it easy.

I've learned I bring in MY torque wrench already set up with proper sockets and extensions ... Complete with instructions on the torque values , they leared to use the torque sticks below the value then use my wrench ...

I twisted a star lug wrench when trying to get some lugs loose a while back. But not on the MINI.

Cross town drive or not, you may wish to take it back and say "take 'em off".

I believe the issue has been handled. Last time I saw Allen his MINI was rolling on its winter shoes.
