Susan,

You've probably figured this out by now but, STS is for non-factory turbo charged/supercharged 4cyl. sedans w/o limited slip diffs. That includes cars likes the civic, focus, GTI, integra, etc. No sports cars like miatas are allowed.

STX is for factory supercharged/turbo 4cyl, V6 and 305 or smaller V8 sedans. Limited slips are allowed. This class again excludes 2 seaters.

Both of these classes are geared toward the "fast and furious" crowd. There are a bunch of mods you are allowed to make but the catch is you have to run on street tires. Where as the the stock classes have very few mods you are allowed but, you can run on "race" tires. And, tires are usually the biggest factors. It's kinda screwy but that's the way it's evolved. Check out http://www.scca.org and you should be able to find a whole host of links about the rules and set up tips.

By the way, the weather looks good for this coming sunday so I am planning on trying to make it to the Cooper stadium event.
