After what seemed like forever we are back, this time in a sweet Chili Red MINI. My husband (NAM handle Sixspeed J)and I originally bought a used 03 Indi Blue Cooper S and had a great time with it and racked up alot of miles but had several problems . So unfortunately when 50,000 miles came around we had to give it up. It was gone but not forgotten.
Last year we thought was the year we would get back into a MINI as we had ordered a R56 Chili Red MCS. But after reading many threads about the cold start issues and hearing about the impending factory JCW we decided that we would wait and canceled our order. Now that it seems that MINI has figured the death rattle out and the great interest rates from Mini Financial, we thought it would be a good time to get back in.
So around 5:30 Monday we welcomed a CRB JCW into our family. We had talked about ordering one, but found one on the lot with almost everything we had planned on ordering. Rather then waiting we decided to go for it! We have been having fun motoring all evening in it. Neither one of us can stop smiling when we are in it!
We are excited to see old friends and meet new ones! Looking forward to seeing all of you at an event soon!
We wanted to get some pictures at the dealership but in our rush to go pick it up we forgot the camera . Now it is so coated from all the bugs that we smashed while motoring we will have to give it a bath before we snap a few shots. Hopefully we will have some pictures this evening.
Welcome back guys! I thought about you when we were doing the River Run a couple weeks ago.
We were thinking about doing the River Run again but we had a scheduling conflict. It was a bummer because we had such a blast last time. Hopefully next year we can have a another MINI Caravan minus the 3 series.
Good to hear from you guys. Congrats on your new JCW! Remember, just because someone doesn't have a MINI anymore doesn't mean we aren't still your friends.
We may do another drive down in SE Ohio sometime for our MINI friends. I'll post here when we figure it out.
