Need advice - red paint.

I just put on a set of 12X6 "Star Mag" wheels and tires on the classic. WHAT a difference!!

Since I was gong to a "wide" wheel, I had to mod the wheel arch (read as: chop off some material with tin snips), leaving some bare metal. I've purchased some anti-rust metal primer, but I'll need to put on some paint to truly seal it.

Rustoliem makes some nice red in a shade CLOSE to my car, but I have no idea if it can be wet-sanded or polished if I get some overspray anywhere, nor how close a color match it will be over time. Ideally, I'd like to get some AUTOMOTIVE grade paint that I can use not only on the modded arches but in places like on my bonnet and door skins, where I have some minor sand-and-fill repairs to make.

Does anyone in town know of a place that will color match my red paint and give me the paint in an aerosol can or in a form usable in a sprayer? Has anyone done a repair like this and can give me advice? I know for the best results, I need to put down multiple paint layers and wet-sand for a true shine, then seal with top coat (optional but recommended), but the specific techniques are unknown to me.

Thanks!!

I'd suggest calling around to paint shops find one that have the "prophet" system ,You'll take the mini there and they shot the paint and it gives them the formula to match the paint ...Then with that you can do the proper painting ...I'll assume that the painting steps will be hhelped by the guru

I'm a DuPont Master Mix OEM with all the computer camera reading equipment necessary. We use a spectrophotometer to measure paint match delta after top coat application and an electronic gloss meter at 60 degrees to measure gloss match. Do you think that might be sufficient?
