Chrysler Run by the Insane?

OK, I understand that if you run a company you have to tell the public how great you are or could be, but this takes the cake on delusions:

http://wot.motortrend.com/6397201/in...mer/index.html

So Chrysler could be like BMW? And the new Ram is a testiment to that? Well they got one thing right price a stripped out version of your truck the same as your competitors optioned then make the customer pay for everything. That tool box on the side of the new Ram is a $3,000 option. Someone needs to tell this guy it is a truck and only people who need to haul stuff should be driving these things anyway. Then comes evidence number 2 & 3 also known as the Sebring and the Caliber. Chrysler would be gone today if MB had not given them the old E class to use for the 300. They need to make one product the Caravan they own minivan interiors and everything else is recycled junk.

Sorry Chrysler fans I have not understood any Chrysler product since the Duster.

The funny thing is on that ultra macho commercial where the various he men (fireman, construction workers, military etc.) do the testing they mention that toolbox. It's the fireman who calls it out and what does he say he can put in it?
An ax?
A fire extinguisher?
No, a fishing rod!
I needed a fireman to tell me that?

Just Unbelievable. Maybe GM can be like Mercedes and Ford Like Porsche. Then the Beg 3 situation will be fixed without future taxpayer handouts.

Until they come out with a really long extension cord & a way to easily deploy & store it an electric car is not a viable option for most people.

Yes.

It makes me wonder how much money oil companies "invest" in these automotive companies.

A partnership with FIAT helps the insanity plea, no?

The thought of Fiat crosspollinating with Chryslers sends shivers down my spine.

I'm old enough to have been around when you could buy a new Fiat's here. Oh my god, what trash. They'd huff an engine or rot out before the payment book was used up. Sad sad carp.

When I heard this I wondered about the VW Routan, will Fiat allow that to continue? Say what you will about the Fiats, it is not like Chrysler is making anything great on their own. Any car from them that anybody likes is an old Benz reboddied. The current Sebring is in my opinion the ugliest car since the Aztek, but at least the Aztek had a decent interior, the Sebring is actually worse on the inside!

I feel no love for Chrysler either.

I am sure that todays Fiat's are better cars than they have ever been, but there is a whole generation of folks who shudder at the mere mention of Fiat. Guess I'm one of them.

Chrysler hasn't made a good car since the slant 6 powered Dodge Dart.

Let's see, GM enters an agreement for $2 Billion to buy a part of Fiat, then later pays $2 billion more to get out of that agreement and not buy any part of Fiat, and in fact sell all the shares they did own.

Now, a short time later, Chrylser goes down the same path...........insane indeed.

I think it is just desperation -- anything to try to get traction. I remember those POS Fiats, too. Running through a mud puddle would rust them out over a weekend, or so it seemed. The only models I would miss if they failed would be an SRT Hemi Challenger or Grand Cherokee. Have to give them credit for having the moxie to build such massively powerful vehicles that get 15 mpg.

Moxie does equal stupid in their case. Those high powered cars certainly catch attention and can build showroom curiousity. Unfortunately, they have nothing else to sell except obviously cheaply built small cars, gas guzzling Jeeps and the like.
