where do you find "Hakka" tires, is this an abbreviation? I have to buy new tires, MAG wanted either $1100 or $1600 for a set of 4 run flats. Well thats a bit ridiculous. So do I buy run flats again or regular tires? do I buy snow tires or all season? The last time I had a tire dilemma I just bought a new car, of course my spouse wasn't happy about that. Can't win all the time but I didn't have to decide what type of tires to get

The dealer is the worst place there is to buy tires, not just MAG all dealers.

I'd check with discount tire. I believe Kumho has come out with runflat tires, if that is what you want. For your use I would also recommend an all season tire.

I second Chuck's recommendation both on where not to buy tires and on what tires to buy. I would also suggest the marketplace, I got those S-lites with tires for $250 and the tires came with 75% left on them. I also bought my summer tires from an especially nice shaved headed dude from NAM.

so do I buy an all season runflat or regular tire? this is complicated - Minis should come with the steel thing that makes a tank move, then it could go in rain or snow

I just had a complete set of winter tires (runflats) put on at Discount Tire in Lewis Center on Hornbeam Lane (per Chuck's recommendations). Final price of $1190 included 4 Michelin Primary Alpin PA3 runflats 195/55R-16 ($126 each), 4 new rims ($78 each) and tire pressure monitors for each tire ($10 each). They had the car done in less than an hour and all 4 summer tires fit in the back end so I could bring them home to store in my garage all winter. They do match internet pricing--I compared with TireRack online. I figure getting local service was as good as buying over the internet. The guys at Discount Tire were really nice and knowledgeable--I would recommend them.

If you go with non-runflats you should buy a doughnut to cary around in case you get a flat.

I would buy all season tires. Regular summer tires work great, until it starts getting cold or it snows. Then it's YIKES!
