OK so I was flipping through a Mini book this weekend and saw an old Mini with "Austin Cooper S" in script on the trunk lid. Instantly I wanted the same for my car without the Austin or the S and add a Mini in. So I looked on line and they sell both:
My questions are, does anyone know how hard it would be to attach these, it looks like they have pins on the back to mount through the sheetmetal. How cool do you think that would look?
For the record if they made one of these for a new Mini I would buy one:
To mount the pins, you'll need to drill holes and they make clips that hold them ...Be sure to paint inside the drilled hole or rust will be coming out ...
Alternately you can remove the pins and cut moulding double backed tape to the back and use that to adhere it to the car
you need to goto the hobby store buy servo tape it will hold it, and you can take it off if you want. it is like the stuff mini uses for there emblems.
[QUOTE Also how cool is it that the first Mini off the line was all white, I knew something was telling me all white was the natural state of Mininess [/QUOTE]
I thought they put white under all the real colors....
I'd not drill... go the tape route. It'll take you an hour, probably, to cut all the shreds with an Exacto or sharp scissirs to fit the script, but there will be no holes in your car afterwards to start rusting...

I agree, do it with tape. But use duct tape or gorilla tape. Or for the most authentic look, drill the holes & let her rust, for the real Classic Mini look.
