Excessive wind noise (convertible)

Hi folks,
I have a 2005 MCS convertible and have recently had the top replaced under warranty (several spots were wearing through the canvas outer layer) (I put it down alot..."always open"). Since they have replaced the top, I have noticed a lot of wind noise on the drivers side at the top of the "A" pillar where the top attaches. The top doesn't leak at all and they have assured me that the top is installed properly, but I know the wind noise wasn't that pronounced before they replaced the top. Any similar experiences or advice?

I was told that the top needs to stretch, mine whistles a bit but it was just installed and its been rather cold here.

I had the same problem when they replaced my top the first time. I complained about it and they replaced it again. This time they had to cut out some of the plastic on the top of the A-Pillar since the top was different from my first two and had a different locking mechanism. I had to drive around for a while with holes cut in the top of my A-Pillar covers until they could replace both of them. No noise now though.

Well, aside from having to have it in the shop for a day, 2 days without being able to put the top down, and then an hour to replace the A-Pillars, it wasn't that big of a deal. It also fixed the little leak that happened in heavy rains when I had to open the driver's side door and 'break the seal'. Good luck with your top!
