any mini friendly service areas around grand rapids-? my dealer in chicago when i bought the car told me that the local bmw dealer (sharp) could do warranty/manitance work- tis not the case, and they want $120 for an oil change.....

I was wondering the same thing. Do you know if Sharp BMW carries the filters in stock? According to Miniusa.com the nearest authorized dealer / service center is in Detroit.

anyone can do an oil change for you. Personally, I'd bring my own oil though ( and then watch them to make sure they use it! ). Filters can be bought on-line, or ordered over the phone from a friendly ( not MOTOR CITY MINI

) MINI dealer such as Classic in Mentor, OH.
