Spring Fling to Hell and Back (a.k.a. Dragon Practice)
ok, just giving everyone a heads up. the spring tour will run along the exact same route as the fall color tour. i'll be running a practice run with anyone thats interested. i'll be running this coming saturday, March 26th. meet-up will be in the same place as last year, the New Center Parking Lot directly off of M-14 exit 3 i believe, in Ann Arbor. i'd like at least two to three other cars. talkabouts would also be good (i'm itching to use the two i bought for the dragon; we'll be on channel 7 sub 21), and anybody that would care to volunteer to read directions to me rally style would be appreciated i'm setting a tentative date for April 9th with a rain date for the 16th (i.e. moderators please put this in the calendar ) anybody interested in the test run or acting as co-pilot or if you have any questions at all, PM me, or you can get my cell phone at 248-672-2918
p.s. this practice run will be a nice gentle run rain or shine. THERE WILL BE NO AGGRESSIVE DRIVING DURING PRACTICE. the purpose of this run is to make sure the route is in good condition for the rest of the group. if you wanna run aggressive do it another day
ok, everybody check this thread tommorow morning BEFORE you leave. in the unlikely event that we have to cancel, i will post it in this thread. i honestly have no idea as to who is coming, but i have a pretty decent idea as to who is not coming. zac, ryan, and christian are driving down to classic tommorow to pick up ryan's moms MCSc and zacs MCS, chad has DT business to attend to and phil will be joining him. scott is going to be gone on business, and greg has, um, business to attend to. so thats a general idea of who is and is not coming. i'm sure there are more people who can't make it, and i'm sure there are some people who i haven't heard from that will be there.
As it stands right now, Brandon, I'll be there. Even have my first wax job of the season on DMINI S. I'm also fresh from getting my mods for the year (I'm trying to do something every year to keep the car fresh). Chad put in an new air intake, some hot wires and the chip. I also spent this afternoon getting my summer wheels/tires out, washed and on.
WHAT?!?! NO MIDNIGHT WASH BRANDON? HOLY COW!! Just teasing.. what time are you guys ending the Tour? I may be able to catch you guys at the dinner! thats a maybe! and show you all Kitt Vader!
I had a great time today. Brandon everything went great, you done good.
I really enjoyed the 2nd pass down haggart road, it really surprised how fast we went with Neil in the lead.
I could not believe how dusty the cars were at the end of the day, had to spend an hour or two cleaning D.B. back up.
It was nice to see some familiar faces, and meet some new ones. I'm starting to put the names with the cars and site names.
Looking forward to our next get together, I hope I can make the detail party. but have other plans for the mod party and I know we won't be there.
Yes Brandon, thanks for the great work. What a blast. This was really the first chance I've had to wring Sparky out. Theresa was glad she copped some Dramamine on the way over. I told her..."I am NOT going to be the first one to brake!"
