Wanted: Unlocked Motofone F3

:D

I'm trying to buy a cell phone...

Blue (or black, blue preferred) Motorola Motofone F3 (GSM 850/1900)
Telcel SIM card (for unlocking purposes if the phone is locked to Telcel)

Anyone headed over to Mexico on a trip? Or, is anyone in Mexico willing to help me out? I posted this in the Off-topic forum, but no one responded.

I would prefer an unlocked Motofone, but if there is one locked to Telcel then that would have to do.

PM me if you can help.

Thanks!

John

Yes (though you'd think they'd be on eBay).

On eBay, the phones are coming from India, so they are the wrong frequency for USA GSM. The US uses 850/1900, India uses 900/1800. Mexico only uses 1900, however, the phone shipped to Mexico is dual band 850/1900.

You would think someone would be selling the Mexican/Chilean version of the Motofone here in the US, but they haven't. There are several for a decent price on mercadolibre.com.mx, but the sellers either won't respond, or do not ship to the US. Plus, in order to unlock it, I probably need a Telcel chip.

Actually...

someone who went down to Mexico sent me a phone (that I paid for). It is pretty neat, I wish I could import them and make a small fortune :D
