A three hour tour to a light lunch, followed by a two and a half hour tour to dinner, followed by an hour tour to home.
Come join Mad City MINI on a scenic and twisty mix to wrap up the driving weather portion of 2009.
This will be a roughly 5-hour drive, with breaks for a light lunch (bring snacks or picnic lunch) and dinner (at the Log Cabin in Baraboo).
We will be leaving at 11am from the Middleton Park and Ride near US 12 and Parmenter St (4001 Parmenter St, Middleton, WI,for your GPS).
There will be a Milwaukee-based group leaving from Burger King in Delafield (at the SE intersection of I-94 and Hwy 83 - the address is 2725 Heritage Dr, Delafield, WI, for your GPS) at around 9:00am and meeting us at the Middleton jump-off point. You will have time to fill-up on the way out if you need it. John will be leading this group over.
In addition to yourself and your lovely MINI, please pack a light lunch or snacks. Dinner will be between 5 and 6 pm and there will be some brief stops along the way, but no planned lunch stop - so either have a big breakfast or pack some food.
If you get lost, are running late, etc, please call Melissa @ (608) 445-5874.
What to bring:
1) Full tank of gas
2) Radio set to channel 15 sub 0
3) Snacks/lunch/drinks
4) $$ for dinner
This is a nice area for a drive I hope those of you who like a fun twisty drive will join up for this! I was in the Wildcat Mountain area just a few weeks ago and the roads are LOTS of fun! I'll be leaving the Delifield area for this, if any of you want to caravan up to the Madison area to join up with Drew and the rest let me know.John S
I'm thinking about this... I haven't been on a twisty ride with my new addition. I had my 05 mcs tragically taken away (read: totaled). I have since acquired a 66" mini s. It would great to see what she can do!

Good afternoon. I am with the Milwaukee Mini Club and would love to do your run on Saturday, Nov 7th. I have a unique situation in that my driver, Rob Meyer, will be finishing his run for UPS at 11:30 in Middleton. We would like to make this drive with your group but would begin it a bit later than perhaps everyone else. Would it be possible to have the directions or map earlier than Saturday? I will be at the starting point on Saturday by 11 am and will wait for Rob to reach the park and ride.
Do you have any suggestions that may help? Thanks for making mini drivers thrilled to have the opportunity to take their minis out for a wonderful fall ride. Susie Meyer smeyer@tds.net
Drew and John,
I'm new to the whole mini clubs and drives. I took delivery of a new mini Cooper s last Saturday and thought this could be a good way to see what it can do. Where is your group meeting in delafield on Saturday? Also do I need to sign up somewhere for the ride on Saturday? One last thing my friend has a 135i and would like to know if he can go in his 1.

Signed up and welcome, we're planning on printing off some maps so an idea of how many cars need them helps. Your friend would be welcome to come along, I've found most of us MINI folks tend to be general car folks as well, and I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a newly restored Pantera show up as well. I'll send John a reminder, and see if you two can work out a meeting point to come over to Middleton.
BASIL: 2007 MCS BRG/B 6sp: various electronic and suspension enhancements, Whalen SM, and DoS CAI; less chrome, more black, WAYBETTER speakers, and tow hitch! ... Chicago MINI Motoring Club ... Milwaukee MINIs ... StLouis MINI Club ... High Plains Motoring Society
So there are going to be a couple of meeting points. John is going to let us know where the Milwaukee crowd is going to jump off from over near Delafield, and we will post that here. You are welcome to join up there, or at the official start in Middleton, or I can email maps to whoever wants them and you can try and find us along the way.
Definitely bring your radios if you are meeting up with us somewhere, so we can help talk you through. If you *don't* have a radio, there should be plenty of extras!
I'm looking forward to the Saturday drive and my friend, Craig, is planning to come along with the group. The weather forecast sounds perfect, yea!!! See ya all in Middleton.
