As a matter of fact, the first trip home after I took delivery of it from Per at CMP, I passed a silver one with checkerboard hood stripes and we both waved at each other like a couple of clowns. I was giggling out loud! FUN!

Fastest Mini of the day was driven by Stuart Kestenbaum (by 1.476 seconds). I was 2nd, and may have gone a second faster, but was having brake issues. Turns out the front rotors and EBC greens were shot. Thanks, Chad for getting the parts so quickly and for doing all the great work this past Friday, I should have no excuse at Michelin July 18-19!
Congrats to Stu for placing 2nd in PAX out of 190! (I was 14th)
Other Minis and their PAX finishes:
Gary Bennett Sr. (GS in my car, although it says 02 Focus SVT) - 19th
Gary Bennet Jr. (GS in my car, although it says 91 CRX) - 24th
Gary Heidebrecht (STX) - 43rd
Marcus Giles (GS) - 49th
Gunner Beery (GS) - 53rd
Matt Church (DSP) - 62nd
Barrett Jackson (BS) - 64th
James Townsend (GS) - 66th
Daniel Arecco (SM) - 91st
Chad Matthews (SM) - 93rd
Mike Green (DSP) - 114th
Michael Delli-Gatti (STX) - 116th
Marian Youorski (HS) - 135th
Erik Aragon-Vela (Novice) - 164th
Looking forward to having John White co-drive with me at Michelin and show me some pointers. Yes, I have been AutoXing for 11 years, but it's never too late to learn.
