An abandoned race track near Savannah that is being brought out of moth balls got a test from the Mini of Charleston Race Team late last month. The track on Hutchinson Island across the Savannah River from the city's downtown will be used for the vintage racing portion of the Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance Festival of Speed this fall. Mini team member Brad Davis and a 2005 Mini Cooper took "hot laps" around the track as officials announced the reopening of the track.
