Mini record

Saturday, May 10, 2008

While unable to claim wins last month in Virginia, the Mini of Charleston racing team did pick up a track record, with Robbie Davis averaging 84.692 miles per hour in a 2005 Mini Cooper S. Davis took two second places in the weekend races at the 3.27 mile Virginia International Raceway in Danville. The track record came on a lap in the Sunday race. The team returns to action in May 17-18 at Summit Point Raceway in Summit Point, W. Va.

Is that a record for that class or just a record for the whole track?

I would estimate it to be about 2:24 seeing that a lap speed of 79.45 miles is 2:27:82

i'd bet it's faster than 2:24. I'm doing that in my car and it's heavy. The spec E30 track record is 2:18.

I think that it is a record for his class(SCCA SSB) at VIR

Brad's record would have been in SCCA SSC
