JCW JCW F56 2DR HB - NO fog / driving lights?
#26
Thanks, vetsvette. My dealer, MINI of Nashville, said that there was no kit from MINI to allow them to hook them up. The service advisor actually said it was not legal since 2009 to have rear fog lights. I don't buy that.
I have my local non-dealer mechanic shop with MINI certified technicians looking into it. I trust they will tell me it'll take a couple hours to install a nice toggle switch they get at the local parts house and code the computer.

I ordered the correct switch module from my dealer. It has the buttons for front and rear fogs. No additional wiring is required, you just plug the same wire into the new switch. All the wiring, lens, and bulbs are already there. There are a couple of threads on the 3rd Gen forum dealing with this mod and a couple also list the part number you'll need. The coding is required for the car to recognize the new switch. New switch was ~$95.
The dealer will tell you they can't do it because it's not listed as an option on your VIN.
