Is anyone running 225/40/18 on +45 TD1.2 18x8s on a stock suspension? 225/35/18 tires are so limited :(

How is that not rubbing in the last picture? Maybe its the angle but it looks like that tire is right on the suspension. It get a 5mm spacer just in case if that was my setup

I have always been a believer that the F56 needs wider than stock tires because it’s a bigger car! After seeing all sorts of attempts at wider wheels & tires, I just believe the F56 is not suitable to a lot of rubber! It either rubs the struts or protrudes too far beyond the fender lips!

The best upgrade is a 7.5” wide wheel with 215/40 ratio with et 40 or 45. I prefer 18” wheels too.

I know the ACS 19” wheel runs 235/35 tires (which is the correct ratio for the stock tire sizes for correct speedometer readings), but I’m yet to see anyone go that route to see the actual clearance.

8.5” is too wide a wheel imo, and even 8” is stretching it a bit. That being said, MINI really should have gone with 7.5” wide rims stock instead of 7”, but narrow is best for fuel mileage (with the run flats)!

All the confusion and my worry about screwing up a perfectly good car keeps me with the stock 18” cup spokes wheels with Pirelli 205/40/18 P7 runflats. Not really all that bad, at least for now!

Looks like the angle to me. I have a set of the same wheels and size tires to go on as soon as it stops freezing raining/snowing around here. Hope it will work without spacers.

It's quite hard to make a good photo of suspension) Look on the top part. Do you see a small 3mm gap between a suspension and a wheel?
I have been driving this set for around 2 weeks and do not experience any problems.

Wow that is a close fit by the strut, Looks good on the JCW calipers and pretty flush to the body. Well done. How many mm's are from the wheel lip to the strut?

I have the same setup (well almost; 17x8 et45) and although they are really really really close in relation to the front struts they work. i've had this setup for 2 years now and no problems at all. BUT, if I knew then what I know now, I'll go 17x7.5 instead of 17x8.

So looks like I need a 5mm spacer up front. While it clears the strut, it doesn't clear the caliper. Surprised so many people running it without issues.

I needed to run a 20mm hub centric spacer in the front for my 17's TDR wheels. I didn't account for the BBK caliper... since the OEM JCW 17" track spoke wheels clear. live and learn.

Looks nice! It’s great that the stock JCW center caps fit....that will be a must for me if I ever get something other than the stock cup spokes.

My JCW oem center caps dont fit in the 18 inch Team dynamics wheel. They are loose & will fall out.

That would upset me as I thought they were suppose to fit right? I believe the NM Engineering wheels may be the only wheels out there that are guaranteed to have the same bore as the stock MINI wheels. I will likely go with those when I try another setup (215/40/18 x 17.5”, ET40).

Hi guys wheels are looking good. Just a quick question what tyre pressure do you use?

I am at around 34 cold and 36-37 hot. That's how it was setup after my tires got mounted.

5mm spacer worked fine, but looks like a 3mm spacer will suffice for et45 18X8s.
