I hate to sound like that guy, but why are you bolding all of your posts?

How do I know if the JCW was designed to run on runflats? I didn't engineer the car. I just said it seems to work best with competition tires that have still sidewalls. i.e. runflats.

Every time I mess with the formula that makes this car run great out the door - it doesn't run great. So I'm just using the tire it "seemed" to be designed for.

I agree with you. It is the safest bet to stay with OEM recommendations for driving on public roads. I don't see myself stranded in the middle of nowhere because no tires are available or leave the car on the roadside and be towed.

As for those who say they come in Europe with "standard" tires, well............. the buyer may sign a waiver knowing there is no spare and no repair kit if the problem is serious.

Tire Rack gave a great review to those new Bridgestone Ultra High Performance All Season run flats.

Let us know how they compare to the other tires your mini had previously.

Thanks gchin. I got flamed out on another thread by some tool who has issues but I will respond to a sincere post like yours.

I'll let you know. Thanks man.

So far they've been awesome on a slalom course I tried.

Hey gchin

Here's an update. 4 weeks on these tires. The Bridgestone Portenza 960 Pole RFs are working out great. Hold the road tight in curves and moving off the line. GL

Sounds like a good choice.

I plan on getting them, but my OEM Continentals may still be going for 20,000mi. more.
