Can stock bov handle increase power?

So I have done quite a few upgrades on my car. 09' JCW and my question is can the stock BOV on my JCW handle the power increase?

Depends on what upgrade you did. If you did a tune, you better change your BOV or at least upgrade your bov spring to the Alta spring (for N14 engine) like I did

John I'm running intake,bigger IC,EXHAUST,HOT SIDE DP, STAGE 1 on my accessport 92 octane or above and FMIC. I'm still using the stock BOV. I have a 09 JCW I'm not sure if the BOV is higher performance in that model.

It can handle some boost increase but can become the weak point at higher boost.
We recommend going with the Forge recirc valve kit as it can handle over 20lbs of boost and reacts much faster

Well in my case does my Alta spring upgrade for the stock BOV helps? I only got manic tune stage 1+ with bigger IC and exhaust (didn't upgrade the DP)

Thanks I really don't need to here that loud woosh sound. I think I here a small sound from the stock one. Is it easy to install. And what are your thoughts about just changing the spring ?

There's a BOV that vents in the engine bag that's loud and then there's the recirculation valve that you're supposed to use.

Either GFB or the ALTA units have worked well for my tuned R56 JCW. I run 25 psi of boost and both close rapidly Need a vacuum source for the ALTA. It's been my experience that the FORGE spacer that vents to atmosphere caused CEL and 1/2 power codes (not the valve setup itself but the spacer). The DME needs to see that air back into the intake. I've read that some folks have never had a problem with the spacer but I did.
