Should have the car by the end of next week. The weird thing is they just finally got the old car going. They phoned and asked if I wanted to take it for a drive. The new car is exactly the same do might do it.....like a preview!

 

Or, take a drive with both if them and then decide which you might like better! Just a thought.

 

Well just got a call from my MA. The car should be here Thursday the 22nd. Considering that the car landed in Halifax on the 27th it officially takes longer to get the car from Halifax to Toronto than from the assembly to Canada!
I am praying that the shop is quiet on Friday and the car PDI and prep the car so I can be driving it on Saturday!
I was meant to pick up the new car back in early July (when this tread started) finally I (hopefully) get my ride!

 

Wow, that took MINI.ca forever to get it from port to dealer. Is that a typical timeframe?

 

Yes 3 weeks is typical. Think this was worse than any other car I've ordered though.
Just read one of your posts in the "aftermarket wheel" thread to find out that my cross spoke 506 wheels will not fit on my JCW. That will probably not be a problem though as I have spacers on order. It will mean the summer performance tires my not make it on the car this year though. Drag.

 

That's correct, but hopefully the wheels will fit with spacers.

 

They say 5mm will do it.

 

Here!!!! Let's hope BMW will give me an extended warranty and not drag the whole process out!

 

Earliest pick-up is next Tuesday. Less than a week. Considering I've been waiting for a car since April....a couple more days won't kill me!

Mini did not promise any extended warranty....They say however they will review my case.
They gave me some driving lights and kept the price the same and that included the fact all packages had gone up and I had added Firework trim ( the only advantage of living in the far north).
Done 70 miles. HK stereo is improved from my 2014. Can't wait to disable the ASD! Love the torque. It is a completely different car than the MCS. So glad I ordered a standard transmission.
Have to get up early tomorrow so will write more and post pics on Thursday!
