I went from 205 stock runflats to 215 Pilot Super Sports and they are fantastic.

Nothing wrong with that size. But you need to tell us more about what you're looking to do with the tire before someone can make a reasonable recommendation.

In what way?

On the street they have a horrible ride, and on track they pretty useless. I gave away a half used set as they're so bad.

I got rid of my run flats last March and put on Falken 205/50ZR17 slightly taller (25.1 in instead of stock 24.6 in on 205/45R17). Ride is much better than run flats. they are okay in snow. I have not done the track.

3 other shots . . 1/2 inch bigger diameter does not rub fenders.

Ditto.
Am om my third set as the life expectancy isn’t too great, but the prorated treadwear warranty helps take out most of the sting when I have to replace them.

I swapped out the stock runflats with 215 Pilot Super Sports too and I highly recommend them. The ride is much smoother and the grip is fantastic. The only downside I've seen so far is a drop in gas mileage compared to the worn out runflats. It went down 1-2 mpg in my daily commute.

Wow. How are they bad on the track? Too bad I just bought them hahaha.

They're better than the Runflats though.

They weren't very fast, slower than RE-11. They also grained like crazy, after a track day rubber would fall off the tire in little strips. We had to stop to work out what the weird noise was, so much was coming of the tire.

The RE-11 are great, which is why the RE-11A were such shock.

Anyone have pictures running with 215-45-17's? I'm going to be ditching my run flats soon and would like to see how they look on a JCW before moving forward. Thanks!

235/40/17 Sumitomo on Rota RB 17x7.5 on lowered JCW with 12mm spacers in front. No rubbing or alignment problems.
