Here are 2 pictures of me trying to figure out how this works on my John Cooper Works. As you can see my recirculation valve bung is too large to fit and I do not want to remove it because there is a sensor connected to it. Any other JCWs using the forge inlet tube.

Also, why will it only let me attach 1 picture? Thanks guys, and I am cross posting in modification as well

The whole tube is upside down. You're trying to put the side that should be towards the maf onto the turbo

That can't be right because as you can see the MAF housing is a 3" and the turbo inlet is like 1.25". The tube won't fit any other way.

Your Forge intake tube ( N14 engines ) should fit like this. Just like you have it there, but add on you clamps. There should be a short silicone hose in the kit bag that connects between the valve cover hole and the sensor . The small tube sensor is removed from that small tube and main factory tube completely. . You half way there.

The main large elbow tube and small tube have little notches to line up that sensor tube.

Connects between sensor and valve cover. Small hole to valve cover, large hole with notch to other side of removed sensor.

Make sure the flow arrow is in the same direction. Push on the small side into the valve cover tube and clip in :

Then use the two band clamps on the sensor connections. And the other two on the main hose, In our pic we show an extra clamp which is used to swamp with the sort connection based on fitment.

Here is the full kit. FMR56IND
