Pls Explay JCW - new guy

I'm new. I'm buying a 2005 Mini. They guy said it has JCW options. Please tell me what JCW option means.

1. Is JCW option came from the factory when you buy the car?
or you have to send your mini to someone to fit all the JCW option?
2. I'm just wondering if this guy only bought a JCW kit (bumper & other body kit) and called it JCW.

3. I think both his front and rear bumper is aftermarket.
4. I heard JCW has smaller supercharger pulley, how can I tell if this is real
JCW option.
5. I saw John cooper works emblem in the engine & I think in the inside of the car.
6. Please help me out here.

The picture showing is the back bumper - can you tell if this is aftermarket?

The next picture is the side showing the rocker body kit.

All your pictures appear to indicate that it is a JCW with the factory Aero body kit. The JCW option includes enhancements to the engine (smaller supercharger pulley, cold air intake, performance head, different ECU tune, and exhaust). 2005 models had the JCW engine kit installed by the dealer - in addition to the JCW plate on the engine, the owner should also have a certificate from the dealer. I wouldn't bother trying to check the supercharger pulley.

The JCW engine kit also included different fuel injectors (blue) and spark plugs (colder heat range). You can look behind the head and see the injectors. I think also in 05 with the factory installed JCW kits, you also got the Limited Slip Differential.

quikmini is correct about the injectors and spark plugs (forgot about them). LSD was a $500 option.

I don't see JCW calipers so it was a dealer installed engine kit and not factory installed.

Thanks guys --- so definitely has some JCW options.
Yes, I think there is no big brakes that they talked
about in the JCW option.

By the way, I found the JCW aunthentecity # posted inside the engine bay.
I will buy the car.

Very cool and, yes, the car looks fully legit. JCW's are fantastic cars. Best of a good breed (says the happily biased owner).
