R53 JCW Suspension adjustment pin?

I thought I remember reading about some mythical "pin" on the JCW suspension that performed some adjustment (front camber perhaps?) I could be completely making this up, but wanted to check and see if anyone has any idea what I'm talking about.

I have the JCW Sport Suspension too but never heard of any special adjustment pin.... ?

Maybe you are thinking of the Steering Angel Stops MINI purports to be needed for running JCW 18" rims ?

Part No. 32 11 0 303 293. ?

Although I have found these steering stops to be totally unnecessary, they are recommened by the dealer.

The rear camber is also adjustable at the lower control arms.
I do not know of any "pin".

You might be thinking of the free camber mod for R56 Minis.

I wasn't thinking of the steering wheel stop limiters, although the R56 "slightly-adjustable" camber might be what I was thinking about. Damn. Thanks for the thoughts!

I read this under R56 threads, so not sure if this is only applicable to R56. Maybe pm the Dr. and let us know. I remember that in GRM got a small amount of camber somehow on R53, shifting the sub-frame or something? I'll go to garage to re-read article. But here is some of the R56 posts.

The last is to increase negative camber to make sure the tire contact patch is optimized in turns. This seems to work OK for camber around -1.4 (with adjustable camber plates). I think the pin removal method to get -0.5 may help.

I've dropped the run flats... interested in what 'Pull pin and get a bit more negative camber.' means... does this mean i have to install some aftermarket camber plate? Will it violate my warranty? Dont mind paying for an aligment if it will help stabalize a bit.
thanks

I honestly don't know how much of a difference it will make, but if you're going to get an alignement, might as well do that first.
Personally, I'm a very big fan of camber plates. It was my very first mod on my car long long ago. I do live in hills so a lot of my driving is on curvy roads, so more camber didn't increase my tire wear, it actually almost doubled tire life...Matt
