Hi,
I am looking for any tips for installing a JCW air filter housing to my 07 S. I do have a JCW strut brace on the car. The factory installation instruction sheet I have makes it look simple. Just want to be sure it is.
Thanks, Tony

There are two different JCW strut braces, one for regular air boxes and one for the JCW airbox. The regular brace will not fit the JCW air filter housing.
The JCW air filter box top install is just a removal of some torx screws and the MAF clamp.
Make sure if you're getting the JCW airbox that you also get the rubber gasket for the base (only an issue if you ordered it separate from the stage1 kit) and like Slinger said, there were 2 different style JCW braces, hopefully yours works.

The difference is in the arc between the two anchor points (strut towers). The one for the JCW box has a greater arc to fit the higher JCW box. The regular JCW brace is more straight.
Guys,
Thanks for for the help. From what I could find out the strut brace that will work with the JCW Air Box is part number 51 71 0 442 352. The one that was put on my MINI was 51 71 0 444 451 which is straighter and will rub against the air box.
