Hey all... figured I'd introduce myself in this section, but if there was another one better suited for it, I apologize ahead of time.
She's an '09 R55 JCW red with black racing stripes... pretty much identical to the one you've probably seen in the JCW catalog minus the aero kit... for now. Ordered the aero front bumper already, he he. (Looks so much better, even by itself IMO.)
I was actually in the market for a 335i or 535i, and then came across this beauty on the lot. Long story shorter, I think in the long run I made the better decision. I've loved, and even craved a MINI S since they came out, but couldn't justify paying for one at the time. Since then I've owned several cars and trucks, and ended up trading in a true pride and joy of mine for the MINI.
I had an '03 Dodge Ram reg cab short bed 2wd that I sunk several pennies into, and found the "Hemi Truck Club" while searching around online. Was voted in state chapter President, and the rest is history. "Ole blue" as I called her from the atlantic blue color she was, had only 30k miles on it when I traded it in just a few days ago for my MINI. People ask how I'm dealing with the switch, and ya just can't compare. 2 opposite spectrums of the automotive world... I think the only thing they had in common is the license plate, till I get a new one for the MINI, lol.
Anyways, enough of my novel. I hope to learn more and more about the MINI clubs, and actively participate as much as allowed by life, and most certainly... modify and personalize! I'm a car guy through and through, and I love "driving" my vehicles, and a MINI is perfect for that. My dealership told me they could probably count on one hand how many JCW Clubmans were in the midwest, and it was a stir of "someone bought the JCW Clubman" after I had purchased it. They said they were glad they had sold it to someone like myself, so I hope not to let them down!
Hope to meet some locals soon, and enjoy this forum and corresponding websites! Happy driving... I mean... motoring!
congrats man I got a R55 JCW chilli red/ Black on thursday. They are fun cars. So far put R99 wheels on so far and just ordered HIDs foglights, headlights, BOV and CAI. I love the aero front bumper and want to order it soon.

So has anyone used a pipe for that intercoolr muffler delete? As simple as that is, it looks like it could reap some good improvements. Let alone more sound!

If you've seen an advertisement for a JCW Clubman, it's probably red, and that's mine. It's all over the catalogs, magazine ads, etc. 'Cept I put the JCW AERO front bumper on it with the brake ducts, and makes all the difference in the world for the look. So no point in pics now, already ordering more goodies for it.

Even if it looks like the one from the ads or someone else's on NAM you have to post pictures. It's the best part showing off you new baby. Plus then when you do mods post more pictures so we can see the transformation.
