JCW and Cold start issues

Are the JCW Minis having cold start issues. I have a 09 MCS and have had cold start problems. I am debating on trading up to a JCW and would like some input.....Peter

Are you talking about the death rattle. I had it in my JCW, and then took it in for the timing chain fix. It has not returned but it remains to see what happens next winter. I would not let it prevent me from getting a JCW. It's a great car.

My 09 JCW with May/09 build date cold start rattled this past saturday. I had the car parked flat in the garage for 4 days without usage and at 80-90 degree ambient temps.

I'm pissed.

My timing chain tensioner was updated/replaced last month. Just had to ask. My problem solved
