Aftermarket JCW air filters

About time for a new filter, and I'm wondering if anyone has found anything in the after market community to replace the stock air filter without changing the box?

There are many options. I switched to the Mini-Madness JCW filter.

IMHO the Amsoil Nanofilter is vastly superior to other options.... more efficient filtration than gauze, very high flow, just blow it out to clean it - no washing or oiling required. Highly recommended by Terry Dyson (oil guru) too for it's excellent filtration and flow.

Size EaAU3570

I've been running mine for about 30,000 miles and love it. I just blow it out whenever it's convenient to open the airbox - once every 10,000 miles or so - but it could go much longer between cleanings.

I went with the ITG fits perfectly into the stock airbox and has the little mount tab to secure it in there, alot of others don't have this handy little feature, easy to clean. Got it here:

Me too!!
Like I've said elsewhere, If the ITG is good enough for use on Cosworth engined historic F1 cars, its good enough for my MINI.

Looks like the ITG or the KN clone are the front runners. We're heading to AMVIV, and if we see one of them for a good buy, I'll probably get it.

I've had foam type air cleaners on my MGB for years, and they worked just fine. I'm not a big fan of the Amsoil type of filter shown. They're very similar to the filter in my vacuum cleaner, and that thing can never get fully clean.

Just replaced the JCW CAI stock airfilter with an Amsoil EAAU 3570 nanofilter and immediately notice that the engine seemed to breathe better and there seemed to be a little more oomph on acceleration.

20kmi on my K&N RU 3130 and no problems so far. Can't say for sure that I saw/felt any improvement, but at about $30 who's to argue. Cleaned it twice so far and looks good as new.

Willum! You're alive!

Does that K&N fit right into the stock JSW box?
