More precisely, do YOU think it will look better with the aero grille?

I don't see a reduction pulley listed in your sig.If you don't have one I would highly recommend it for a quick 15-20 hp.As for the aero kit that PEPPER white looks great just how you have it.

The 1st Gen JCWs already have a reduction pulley. It isn't as aggressive as many of the aftermarket pulleys are, but it is still a big jump from a stock Cooper S.

Not to mention that changing out the pulley would take away from some of the likely reasons that the poster chose to go with JCW in the first place (i.e. full warranty support, "OEMness" cache).

I would love to answer you... but I am torn about putting an aero kit on mine, the grill, or just leaving it myself.

OK, I'm gonna give different opinion. Yes do aero grill, but paint the edge of it pepper white too.

I searched for MC pepper white with grille and I found this one from Flicker. What do you think now?

Painted edge makes it look more finished.

Paint the edge. On the Pepper White it looks far better.

I am about to put the Aero bumper on mine with the grill and I am going to paint the edge of the grill.

Kind of like these...

As an interim step you might want to get some blackout tape and just tape over the slats in your present grill. I spent US$5 to change my grill appearance and pretty much like it. The black grill in the pic you supplied earlier is very nice, but I prefer to have a chrome surround.

The blackout tape is a cheap solution that took only about an hour to install/apply. I found some 1 3/8" width tape that was perfect.

To me the grill not being painted makes it look like a add-on aftermarket part. Painted, it looks far more intergrated into the car.
