Hey everyone I just joined and wanted to post up a few shots of my car. I drive a 2006 Mini Cooper S JCW Cabriolet. I bought this car a year ago and its feels the best on the road of all the cars Ive ever driven. I love it Anyways here a few quick shots. Ill be cleaning it up this weekend in the 80 degree weather so Ill be sure to take a few more nice shots.

Pictures of my JCW
Here are a couple pictures of my Baby!!!
It just broke 100,000 miles, it's an 03 (doesn't look quite right does it.)
It's more GP than Cooper S thanks to my GP's untimely passing. It not only has all of the body kit but I also transplanted the drivetrain and all of the suspension. It's almost like a new car, however it has confused a couple of people.

What happened to your GP? What number was it?

My first Mini
Just picked up my first Mini yesterday and I've been manufacturing excuses to drive it since then! This thing sure is a blast (for the record, I was about to buy a 1999 BMW M coupe and got convinced to test drive the Mini). Mine only has what the previous owner put on it. It's a 2006. I've been trying to figure out exactly what he's upgraded...it has the JCW tuning kit, Sport package (I say this because it has DSC), 18" JCW double spoke wheels (black), JCW carbon fiber wing, and a gloss black cover for the passenger side dash that has 6 circles on it, one of them red. No idea where that came from. It also has an antenna connector mounted in a hole drilled through the roof (but hidden by the headliner) that apparently was for a CB antenna. Also has a CB radio mike holder screwed to the front cupholder. Who even does CB anymore? Does anyone else have any suggestions about what else to look for to find out what mystery upgrades this guy did? I've also been trying to find out exactly what the components of the JCW tuning kit are, but Google is failing me here. Does anyone have a list?

Welcome !
Sounds like the prior owner used to Motor with a club, hence why he had a CB radio to communicate among other members in the group. JCW accessories are not limited to the JCW so you will have to look for other clues. Check the valve cover to the left of the coil pack. As you are stainding infront of your MINI with the bonnet up. If you just have a black plate there with the words MINI, or 1.6L, it is probably not a official JCW. But if it has a black plate with the JCW logo as in the above post, then you do
If you dont have a JCW, you can still add those items if you want, and the prices for them are becoming more affordable at your MINI Dealer every year.

Yes those are the JCW Brakes with regular JCW 11.5 inch disks. I have those as well but you can purchase the upgraded disks from Morristown MINI in NJ. They would have the best price on those. Sometimes you can find the those for sale in NAM's 2nd Gen Marketplace, they are the same ones in fact.
Not sure about that button......looks OEM, maybe the roof passenger seat eject
Could be heated mirrors or something along those lines.

Here is our new JCW.. My wife had a 07JCW that we traded on a 09 135I BMW. Nice car, but she really missed her MINI. ( the 07 was her 2nd) So after some thought, we decided to look for a nice clean 06 since she missed the whine of the SC.. And we found it.. the diamond in the rough... this is Sid our new CR/B 06 JCW. New being the operitive word.. It only had 9200mi on it.. Has all opts except Nav.. She is in love again... It lives with its big brother GP1996. And step father FJ and little step cousin xb..

we actually talked about that... the GP wheels are in storage to prevent damage.. so I got the black.. they dont photo well unless at the right angle..they have a red lip on them, so we too thought about switching them.. we will see.. Scuzzlepook is still marveling over her car.. The R90 in the gray has allways been one of my favorite factory wheel..

Please, please post pix if (WHEN) you do the swap! If my eye is not fooling me your GP replacement shoes are on 17's? If so then a swap is SO easy. Those blackies would rock on your better half's JCW. I do wonder if the gunmetal will be a close enough match for the Thunder Blue. Get a load of me creating a wild weekend project for you!
One more thing...I may have bugged you with this question before...what % tint do you have on your GP windows?
Thanks
