hi everyone, i have a IB 2003 MCS with the factory 2 white stripes on the bonett, im considering the idea of removing the 2 stripes and going they rally style stripes, its a one 12" strip down the center wit 1 thin line on each side at an offset, my question here is, will removing the original striped make a diference in the paint job on the bonett? can you notice where the original stripes were once they are removed? with the pain be faded? any ideas?
I put Viper stripes on my IB after I removed the stock bonnet stripes. To remove the stripes and the difference in virgin paint under the stock stripes and the weathered finish ,I had to machine buff the whole hood. If you don't do this ,it might be noticable . You will see the diff when you remove the stripes.
