I used a 1 1/8" black plastic plug from Lowes. Added a dab of silicone to make it water tight, and it looks OEM. Of course, not even the MINI club members notice I don't have a rear wiper...
Certainly is easier to clean the rear window, and keep it clean.
cheers, phil

IDK about the R56 having the holes in the boot, but assume there are MINI is proud of their products and this is their way of making you leave the MINI name on the car.

I also dont know how you could hide the holes without bodywork, but did see a guy that made them look like a vampire bite with red paint.

I have painted my Mini wings black on both of the MINIs I've had it looks great. Just make sure you sand the chrome down a little or the paint blows off in the carwash. Oh I also took off most of my cooper, and just left RSon the back for my initials

Yep de-badged too. Looks much nicer and easier to clean.

My wife laughs at me because every car that I have bought gets the "dealers name" sticker removed as soon as I get the car home. If they want to pay me to advertise for them then I will leave it on.....

I am in the same boat with you.
My wife even got stopped one time after I debadged her car and the cop asked what kind of car she was driving (plan jane chevy). When she told him he said "is it some kind of secret?"
