White Roof Rack

I have a white roof on my Mini, and am fitting a Yakima roof rack. Not wanting the ugly black thing up there, I have painted it white, and am using polished aluminum rod rather than the black cross pieces. Has anyone else done this or used a different paint scheme?

Does the Mini OEM rack come in white for white roofed cars?

White roof rack

Very cool idea. Make sure you put up some pics. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Mini doesn't offer the rack in different colors. BTW do you have any pics of the roof mounted light bar yet? Been curious about that one for awhile.

All my projects are sort of integrated. First comes the remote driving lights, then the light bar with remote wiring, which is actually the front part of the roof rack. One done, working on two.

Cool idea. You'll probably have to use a latex paint as the outside of the racks are rubberized.

Actually there are no "rubberized" parts on the Q-towers I have. There are metal internal parts, and high impact plastic outer parts. I used Urethane high gloss white paint - came closest to roof white.
