Replacing handbrake handle

Have any F56 owners swapped out their handbrake handles? Any tips on removing the OEM handle?

E-break grip

I just took possession of a new to me 2018 JCW WITH 8k on the clock.I can’t believe how cheap the e-break grip is! I’m hoping the e-brake handle assembly is shared with BMW, so I can install a BMW grip. Going to call the body shop tomorrow and see what they say. It’s really annoying when manufacturers cheap out on the little things especially when they are things you touch often as apposed to things you only look at or barely touch.

Cravenspeed offers a parking brake handle. They also have instructions posted with the product.

NOBODY, thanks for the suggestion. However, Metal get too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. I’m really looking for something leather, Alcantara or even carbon fiber. I’ve found a number of OEM handles for other manufacturers that are leather with contrasting red stitching like my starring wheel. I may just order all of them from Amazon, figure out which, if any, fit and then return the rest.

I’ll wait to see what the body shop says. They should be able to narrow the list as to which fit the lever itself. Then I can search for which fit the boot (leather cover).

eBay has a number of leather covers for the existing handle, as well as carbon fiber replacements. The stock one just pulls off (you need to use a little brute force) and the new one just pops on. Even if you don’t buy theirs, check the CravenSpeed site for installation instructions that essentially apply to all of them.

Thanks. I bought them as well! They complement the red stitching on wheel quite well (Oh god, my car needs a detail!).
