[MON] Carbon Fiber Front & Rear Lip (pics...)
this has been a long time coming. found these on a Japanese website and on a whim i emailed them using google translate. shockingly enough, i got a response a few hours later from them. with a 12-hour difference between NY and Japan, every email/response was delayed by a full day. at the end, finally was able to have money converted to yen and then transferred to a local bank branch. 2 weeks after that, they arrived. i've been away and had only this week to get it done. i leave tomorrow again for 2 weeks so i had just enough time to have the body shop install them, drove it home, and it will be parked until i get back. while they came with a simple clear-coat, they suggested i put a UV Clear-coat on it to prevent it from yellowing down the road. i also wanted to give it a bit more protection from these NYC streets.
i am loving the lip. i love the look, and probably moreso than the JCW bumper. the rear lip will only fit the standard MCS lip (not the JCW Lip).
attachments: the rear lip attaches via 3M adhesive. the front lip attaches to 7 (SEVEN) OEM clips that support the underbody splash shield. additionally, 6 more holes existed on the lip that drilled into the underbody splash shield. all in all, 13 screws were used. also, the part of the lip that touches the bumper is lined with 3M adhesive.
thickness: it adds about 1.5-2" to the bumper. i'm running on NM springs and combined with this, the front of the car is pretty damn low. although still not as low as some of you running coilovers.

thanks. i've always been a fan of body kits/lips/etc.. had it on my previous car ('02 Maxima) and was itching for this car. only issue now is that NY is just not for low cars...been having to dodge a few bad bumps and getting into some parking lots.

[MON] makes the front spoiler and rear spoiler lip in both FRP and Carbon Fiber.
Garbino is another manufacturer. they make a similar front spoiler.
both are expensive. i was fortunate enough to speak with the [MON] shop directly and worked out a deal. PM me and i can tell you how i was able to get them paid. had to go through a few loops as they only accepted bank transfer (in YEN) for payment.

FRP Front Spoiler: ~$570
Carboon Front Spoiler: ~$765
FRP Rear Spoiler Lip: ~$450
Carbon Rear Spoiler Lip: ~$540
and again, payment had to be made in yen, so i used a bank site to buy YEN and then a bank transfer to their local branch. it was a bit nerve racking but they pulled through at the end.
i agree with you, i like how it flows with the car. it does "complete" it and makes it look stock.
