HI,all.wing question (newbie)

I have searched all over I swear! but I have a '02 MC,just purchased, and someone ruined the rear wing, then glued it back together.Left me with the task of tearing it off.Think they were trying to get 3rd brake lite out.I want to put an "S" wing back on or similar. My wing is optional factory with three mounting studs.I can fix the middle hole, will an S wing or the like fit the existing mounting holes? I would like something that curves out away from the car. Or is there anyone with a better suggestion. Thanks.

sorry for the nondescript text....
i mean to say... yes the M7 C-Wing fits into the stock two bolt spoiler mounting config. the "S"-Wing would be just the bottom half of that wing... so naturally it would fit too.

the wing is actually quite flat... so as far as the curve you want goes... have you considered a foctory OEM MCS aero spoiler?

hello there,

that's my first and hopefully not last post here ;)

I own a MINI One that has no spoiler

I have found following spoiler really cheap: http://marcinzydek.com/spoiler.jpg

is it genuine MINI spoiler, if so which one is it? is it complete spoiler? cause from this picture it looks weird from the bottom, like something is missing?

thanks

The spoiler in your link looks like a stock MINI Cooper (Non S) spoiler.

I've checked the link and it's good, try again please!

plus, I updated the link with bigger pictures! http://marcinzydek.com/spoiler.jpg

no it seems that this spoiler have broken fittings, is it possible to install it somehow?

could someone verify that this is really a mini cooper spoiler and I will be able to install it on my Mini One '05?

thanks

Contact the owner and ask him if the part number is still visible.

This link should be helpful in your quest.

If the clips are indeed broken, and use of heavy duty double-sided trim tape is not possible you may can use a 2-part adhesive like Betalink:

Good luck!

thanks for your reply. I know this OEM site and I've seen that picture before. I'll try to ask for part number...

one thing that's my concern is that this spoiler is supposed to go off the car a little - I mean the rounded part should be few inches behind the rear window - and there are screws on this part... there is something wrong or I don't get it? shouldn't the "off part" of the spoiler be just the same as it is on top (gloss black paint?)

thanks!

Most of this spoiler covers the small section at the top of the hatch that matches-up with the roofline. The Cooper spoiler only projects from the rear of the hatch a little bit. It's not aggressively styled.

It looks like you'll likely need to drill holes in the top of your hatch and use something equivalent to the double-sided tape patches (available from the dealer) to attach this part if you don't want to use adhesive.

yeah, but look at this spoiler from the bottom (my second picture), it surely is not the same as the one you posted...

Hmmmmm. You have a very detail-oriented eye. Perhaps the spoiler is for the 2nd Generation MINIs. I now think that my initial advice was faulted. Let me know what you think once you check out the links below.

You are making me miss my tint! I had to rip mine off, too many tickets. Next spring I having it retinted though. Might try 35% on the fronts and 20% on backs.
Looks hot though!

So whats the story behind the GP kit? How did you get it, how much was it? etc etc. I am absolutely in love with it by the way!

Unfortunately it cost me my GP. My wife made a left turn through stopped traffic except for the guy who was using the gutter for his own personel lane. Anyway my wife came out of it with a couple of bruises from the seat belt but the GP didn't come out of it quite as well. So, my 03 MCS benefited from multiple transplants.
I like your CF hood hows the fit anf finish?
