Rear seat delete with extra storage access
Picked up the MINI last Friday already knew that the rear seat was not going to be in use much at all so I went ahead and did a rear seat delete but wanted to use the extra storage under the board.
Materials needed:
- Scissor to cut the foam and fabric
- MDF board from Home depot or so
- 3M Headliner glue spray (picture below)
- 2x 1/2" Bolt/nut/lock washer
- 4x Hinge rings (to slide the bolts through using the existing rings in car)
1. Take the seats out obviously
2. Take measurements for the board, cut it out and test fit before doing anything else.
3. Bolt on the hinge rings on the board
4. 3M glue the foam on the board

Thanks! It was my first idea when I took the seats out.. I was like I got to use those!
Thanks and yes great use of the LGT rims ha
Got it from a local fabric store (Joann would be great), I got a piece of foam and fabric there. The total cost was about $30, def worth it.

You coulda just bought a Clubman and be swimming in space just by adding a piece of carpet ($8 @ Home Depot and rubber backed) while still keeping your seats if ever needed and little bit of access from the side (behind seats with the 3rd door. Also, the MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper Clubman are essentially the same from the 2 side doors forward--they only differ from the rear of the two front seats to the back.

Hey this looks great. I like your idea for the hinges. I did a rear seat delete over the summer, and I may retrofit mine to accommodate the hinge idea. Here's mine:
