Only mini in this color combination?

Hey Guys, I've been planning on getting new wheels this spring and just keeping the S-lites as my winter wheels. Well, I've been playing around with photoshop and im seriously considering powdercoating the S-lites orange in the interim. idk why I like this set u so much, but i dont think anyone else has them. Lemme know what you think. Also, what wheels would you guys recommend for my r53?

different...
Not exactly what I expect to see on an east coast MINI.
Guess the like dislike thing has to do with how cartoonish you like your car...
Looks a bit too boy-racer like for me, but it might fly in LA......

Minis are like Street Rods. There's really no bad combination as long as you like it. Not my cup of tea but it's kind of cool

It looks nice I like it, and it all depends on what route your going. The orange and blue contrast nicely but depending on your age an all ask yourself if you like the bright color as a every day ride.

We race KTM motocross bikes which are orange. We just had custom graphics made with blue in them. We get a lot of compliments on the combination. Personally I like your set up, dare to be different right.

I kind of like it. It seems like there should be a little spot of the orange somewhere else. Maybe just a small sticker of some sort on the lower corner of the back windows or on the roof rack...just a touch of something to tie the top to the bottom.

I'm in agreement with the "it's yours...make it how you like it" comments. I want something different for side graphics but cannot for the life of me figure out what....I'll know it when I see it, I suppose. I just know I don't want it to be something that other people already have.

If you do it, wrap the roof rack cross bars in vinyl or paint them to match.

I think the orange and blue look awesome, but I'd ditch the stripes.

I like it. I'd never do it to my own car but I like it on yours.

Here's another member who has done this to his R56.

Or add an orange pinstripe to your stripes.

well this was the look i was going for:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

And like i said, it's going to be my 2nd set of wheels, I'm going to get plain silver rims. As for the mirror caps, i plan to get a second set to swap out when I'm no longer in the mood for the orange. @PFSIII i was planning on adding the orange pinstripe. I was also thinking about putting a matching graphic on the wind fairing.

But like i said, it's just photoshop, but i do like being different

It works for me, ideally you get rid of the white stripes and the roof would be the body color. Your idea worked pretty well for the Ford GT40 which is a classic--

Yours looks great! I've been wondering what a blackout would look like with the blue/orange combo. I think because you have the body-match molding and blackout the orange wheels would work. It reminds me of the Carreras with matching side stripe and wheels. Bold!

Maybe do orange plastidip first to test out the look?

Thanks! I'm really jealous of your electric blue. It's by far my favorite blue for a Mini.

I can't quite tell from your pictures - are your calipers orange too or is that from photoshop?

Actually, a MINI completely painted in KTM orange with black accents would look cool.

It's from the photoshop. Another idea would be keeping the wheels silver and just painting the calipers and mirror caps orange. a little less flashy but it'll still have that pop.

I like this idea. Sometimes less is more.
