First Impressions:
Ordered these on Fri. last week & there was a box from China in my mail on Tues. (I was suprised, I expected at least a week.) Oh & BTW there is an extra $30.00 to the price for shipping.
They are a considerably more solid than I expected, and to my suprise and delight they're mostly metal, and the plastic parts seem to be pretty dense as well (something that the factory fog lights really aren't)
Fitment & install w/ pic's should be this w/e, the one thing I'm really hopeing for is better light dispersement over adding the hid bulbs into the non-projector factory housings, as much as I love the hid upgrade for the fogs and doing this upgrade in the fog light position is "Nowhere Near" as bad as upgrading a non-projector headlight, the factory housings still make the light a little "glare-ee" for my taste.

I did the swap this afternoon, pretty straight forward as you can imagine, just pull the bumper cover, turn the wheels all the way to the outside of the side your working on and pull the front inner fender plugs for access to the fog lights, pull the bulbs, and there's only 3 screws holding the housings in. I think start to finish was about an hour and a half. (it was only 35 degrees outside, so I was a little slow...) But everything went together perfectly, not even a near miss as far as fitment goes.
Here's some pic's:
And of course I now have a glass dome instead of a flat piece of plastic that is of course weathered and really needed polishing.
Here's the Factory Fogs:
Now the New Ones:
There is considerably less glare and are much brighter, but because of their position and aiming they are only brighter on the ground, the effect while looking at the car from the outside is just that, bright on the ground but not in your eyes, the light is much more focused down and far easier to look at if you were in an oncoming vehicle.
More pics: (sorry I couldn't get back to the same spot to take them.)
Factory W & W/O headlights:
New Ones W & W/O:
Honestly, except for the actual distance the light travels you could easily drive on these alone. (I wouldn't want to do it out where I live, it's pretty rural, but in the city no problem at all)
I'm using the same bulbs in both lights (8000's) and even though they looked the same before, they match perfectly now:
Over all I like them alot, they are brighter than the factory housings with an hid bulb, but absolutely less blinding to oncoming traffic, you will just have to weigh out wheather you think they're worth the $139.00 or not for yourselves. All in all I really like them and would buy them again if I had to, when there not on they look pretty good also, my only complaint is that the housings are so nice, it's a shame you can't actually see more of it. Now to see how they hold up.
Oh and when I took my factory housings out their were some burn spots on them, in my opinion it wasn't enough to cause alarm or a fire or anything but you can def. tell they weren't made to have an hid bulb in them, also not bad enough to stop me from doing another hid upgrade to a factory housing should I ever need to.
EDIT:
I thought about this last night, honestly I don't think you would "have" to pull the bumper cover, the 3 screws that hold in the housing are on the inside of the fog light indentation in the core support, but considering how easy it is to remove you still might want to just incase you drop one of the screws during instalation, and considering it takes what?, 5 or 10 min. to remove it does make seeing and doing what you have to a lot easier, plus you "will have to" if you need to adjust them.

I'm not up on my R56's so I checked RealOEM, looks like the R56 uses a completely different housing.
While I was There I checked, they are saying $75.00 ea. for factory replacement housings, at this point if I had to replace the factory ones due to damage or something I would go with these, they are heavier and I think better made, not to mention cheaper, and don't forget you don't have to put hid bulbs in a projector housing, halogens work just fine too.

I have the halogen in projector housings in my work truck, they're about the same as a normal halogen setup, the beam is just slightly more focused, so they're still a little less offensive to oncoming drivers.
Don't forget:
http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DD...ast-35W-or-55W
$40.00 for the kit, both sides, "Any Colour You Like".
Did he actually get them too, he never posted his thoughts?

Very simple, you must take the bumper cover off but there is a single screw for an up & down adjustment only, right in the front.
As far as side to side even though there is no adjustment, they are actually set really good, I was looking at them last night on the way to work and yes they're exactlly the same as running a 2nd set of headlights, except they actually are naturally aimed just slightly outward and give you a really nice extra bit of light on the shoulder and off the side of the road.
Honestly I think these would look really cool if you decided to go to one end of the temp. range or the other, either really violet or esp. really yellow.
I'm actually working on one last hid lighting project and just might order an extra pair of 12,000 & 2000 degree bulbs just to see how they look.
