Blackout updates +Debage+RearWiperDelete

I recently just received my stick on parts from aesthetic creations. Overall I would rate these pieces a 7/10. The door handles have some bubbles in them. The headlight rings did not fit 100% properly. But, overall I am happy with the products and I am glad the chrome is gone. I still have to do the side scuttles and grill, I was thinking about painting these with plasti-dip. I also de badged and all I can say is I wish I did this earlier. I love the clean boot look. I also did the rear wiper delete to add to the clean look. The other reason why I did the rear wiper delete, is because the wiper rattled ALOT. Taking off the wiper did leave a stain on the glass or something from the wiper being there for so long. Does anyone know how I can get this mark off the glass? Normal glass cleaners do nothing. Here are some pictures I took today on 3/21.

I tried my turtle wax rubbing compound from 1997 haha. It didn't work.

You could try clay on the glass and if that does not work try steel wool. Steel wool will not hurt the glass.

I would try Goo Gone. If that does not work, then there are bathroom cleaning compunds for built up salt and hard water marks that work. Good luck...

I'd be REALLY careful if you are going to use bathroom cleaning compounds anywhere near your paint. You might want to cover the back of your car if you try that.

Regarding your grill and your side markers, have you considered just getting the non-S markers instead? They are black and wouldn't need to get painted. As for your grill, hit up Lyle at http://www.lylesvinylstyles.net/. The grill takes a lot of road abuse and vinyl holds up pretty well. He does great work.

Oh and if you are interested in losing the chrome on your tails, I may be getting rid of my joey-modded lights for relatively cheap. PM me if you are interested and I'll let you know if/when I am getting rid of them.

Great MINI man, very clean!

Anthony

Looks great!

Check out some ruby red taillight tint. I think it would look great!

If you want to keep all the black mods glossy, i would stay away from plasti-dip. Otherwise use it, cause it's awesome stuff.

Anyway, great work!

Looks great! I will tell you what to use on that glass! Its called bar keepers friend. You can find it at Walmart or other stores like that it will be by the cleaners like Comet. It comes in a can like comet and is superrr cheap. Its a powder. To use it get a microfiber cloth and mix the powder with some water on the cloth to make a "sludge" then buff it into the spot. This stuff is amazing and wont hurt the paint either.

I've used this to remove years and years of hard water spots off of my windows. Only after trying steel wool, neverdull, rubbing compound, waxes, polishes, window cleaners...etc its good stuff

I might try the ruby red look but I am not sure yet. I do want to keep all the black mods glossy. I did not no that plasti-dip did not come in gloss black.

Check out some of the plasti-dip threads on here for tons of pics. I have not seen any that look glossy like vinyl. It gives a semi-gloss look because of the texture. I dipped my scoop recently and there is a difference between it's look and the look of my bumper/grill vinyl.

^^The plasti-dip will look very similar to the plastic pieces surrounding the edges of the car (side skirts, fenders, etc.)

Not to go off topic here, but you've got a JCW, an X5, and as far as I can tell, a Z06, an E92 M3, and a Gallardo in the garage (yes, I'm a bit of a car geek) and you're worried about some discoloration on your glass!? You my friend, are doing alright in my book!! ;-)

Oh, and try vinegar and water with a little 000 steel wool on the glass...should work!
